Our machine safety product manager, Martin Illston – has recently achieved his CMSE® certification and is now a TUV Certified Machinery Safety Expert!

Martin can use his knowledge and expertise from this course to develop effective machine safety solutions and answer any technical questions you might have. He also has 20+ years of experience in the field.

Martin will be using his skills across OEM’s extensive safety product portfolio and in all product areas of the business. 

What is CMSE®?

The CMSE® (Certified Machinery Safety Expert) qualification is an internationally recognised qualification certified by TUV NORD which covers all areas of functional safety and must be recertified every 4-years.

Topics include:

  • Legislation and standards
  • Risk assessment
  • Safeguarding techniques
  • Functional safety of control systems

From simple safety product replacement/upgrade and maintenance to the design of a complete safety system on a new machine - Martin will be pleased to assist you with any safety applications.
