Speed measurement and position detection using incremental and absolute encoders.

Choose the perfect encoder for your application from a variety of sizes and ordering options. The Sendix encoder – made in Germany – is the result of the highest quality awareness and careful selection of materials. It has proved its value in many industries as a robust and precise sensor technology. Design your plants, machines, or motors with Kübler encoders through OEM Automatic.

Encoders are used wherever lengths, positions, rotational speeds, and angles need to be recorded. They convert mechanical motion into electrical signals. There are differences in the functional principles of encoders. They can thus be divided into incremental and absolute versions. We can generally supply you with all of the encoders in both shaft and hollow shaft models.

Incremental Encoders

Speed measuring on rotating axes with incremental encoders. Incremental encoders deliver a certain number of pulses per shaft revolution. The speed of movement is determined by measuring the period or counting the pulses per time unit. The Sendix encoder – made in Germany – is the result of the highest quality awareness and careful selection of materials. It has proved its value in many industries as a robust and precise sensor technology.

Absolute Encoders

With absolute encoders, a coded position value is assigned to each angular position in order to record the absolute position. Even after the encoder has been disconnected from the power supply, the unique position is still available. - Sizes from Ø 24 mm to Ø 70mm - Resolution up to 21 bit single-turn and up to 24 bit multiturn - Working temperature range from -40 °C to +90 °C - SIL2/PLd or SIL3/PLe versions available all TUV approved

Draw Wire Encoders

Linear measuring system for position detection. The right draw-wire encoder for every application. From precise to compact to robust and cost-optimized. Kübler offers a comprehensive portfolio based on different measuring lengths. In addition to all common interfaces, innovative features such as integrated inclinometers or redundant sensors make the difference. From analogue to fieldbus – draw-wire mechanisms can be combined with a wide variety of Sendix encoders according to customer requirements.

Inclination Sensors

Precise and reliable detection, measuring inclination angles in the range from 0 to 360° even in harsh environments. Kübler inclinometers can be used for any conceivable application. Their robust housing, high degree of protection and wide temperature range contribute to reliable and long-lasting operation. Their flat design makes installation flexible and simple. Their high accuracy is a special feature because it remains stable even in the harshest environments and with temperature fluctuations. So you always have an optimal and reliable measurement in your plant or machine.

Linear Measurement Systems

Contactless position measurement suitable for the harshest environments. With a linear magnetic measuring system, the sensor system, also called scanning head or sensor, is guided contactlessly over a coded magnetic tape. You can choose between incremental and absolute sensors. The measuring system is insensitive to dust, chips, and moisture and resistant to many liquids and oils. Various interfaces are available for the respective applications. Measuring wheel systems from Kübler are the ideal solution for reliable speed measurement, position detection and length measurement in applications with linear movements. These are recorded rotationally via the measuring wheel with attached encoder directly on the surface of the material to be measured and converted into linear data. Integrated springs ensure the necessary contact force of the measuring wheel on the measuring surface for reliable measured value acquisition.

Bearingless Encoders

Reliable speed measuring with magnetic sensor solution. Bearingless encoders are the perfect alternative to bearing mounted encoders, due to their compact design and easy mounting options on almost any shaft diameter. Bearingless encoders from Kübler are already used today in drive and elevator technology, for asynchronous motors or external rotor motors, or in generators, large motors, and wind turbines. Their smart technology is available for the highest signal quality. Digital real-time signal processing compensates for possible signal errors and optimizes drive control. Design your plants, machines, or motors with Kübler!
