Suco 0H83 Hydrogen Pressure Switch

Piston Switch

The SUCO 0H83 hydrogen pressure switch is a robust, piston-type mechanical switch tailored for high-pressure hydrogen applications. Housed in marine-grade AISI 316L stainless steel with an EPDM diaphragm, it operates reliably up to 250 V changeover outputs (SPDT), with adjustable setpoints covering 100400 bar and withstanding overpressure bursts up to 600 bar (8,700 psi). Compact yet powerful, it provides adjustable hysteresis set at the factory and features spade (AMP 6.3×0.8 mm) electrical connections and M14×1.5 process threads for ease of installation. The switch tolerates dynamic conditions typical in hydrogen systems, including vibration and pressure spikes, thanks to its piston mechanism and high-quality materials.

The 0H83 excels in demanding hydrogen environments, such as fuel-cell storage, H₂ compressors, high-pressure gas lines, and refuelling stations, where compact, reliable, and intrinsically safe pressure control is essential. Common applications include switching control for safety interlocks, overpressure alarms, and system shutdowns, ensuring system integrity under transient conditions. Its broad setpoint range and overpressure resilience also make it well-suited for OEM integration into modular hydrogen systems and high-pressure benches, where simple, yet fail-safe mechanical switching avoids the need for external power or complex electronics.
