Suco - 0165 ATEX Pressure Switch

ATEX rated

The SUCO 0165 is an intrinsically safe, mechanical pressure switch engineered for explosive environments (ATEX Zone 1 & 2 gas atmospheres: Ex II 2G Ex d IIC T6/T5 X). Housed in robust anodised aluminium (30 mm A/F) with a PG9 cable gland and a 2 m cable, it delivers changeover (SPDT) switching with silver contacts, capable of handling up to 250 VAC or VDC at 1 A. Field-adjustable setpoint ranges span five bands, overpressure safety extends to 200 bar (diaphragm types) or up to 600 bar (piston types) with a typical differential of 10–30 %. Its design ensures precision under stress—switch stability remains tight (±0.5 bar nominal), and it withstands mechanical shock (294 m/s²), vibration (10 g), and fast pressure spikes up to 1 bar/ms, delivering up to 200 cycles per minute for about one million actuations.

The SUCO 0165 is ideal for safety-critical tasks in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical processing, mills, refineries, and other hazardous workplaces. Its ability to be adjusted under pressure simplifies commissioning and maintenance in live systems, while the wide adjustment profile suits applications from low-pressure gas detection to high-pressure hydraulic safety interlocks. The aluminium housing and explosion-proof certification ensure reliable performance in flammable atmospheres, and its high overpressure capacity makes it invaluable for pump control, leak detection, pressure alarm systems, and compressor shut-off in intrinsically safe zones. Practical use includes monitoring pipeline pressure, triggering shutdowns in gas lines, and providing safety interlocks on hydraulic machinery in Zone 1/2 environments.

What is hydrostatic level monitoring?

A hydrostatic level probe measures liquid level indirectly, by sensing pressure at a known depth. When the application is suitable and the installation is done properly, hydrostatic level probes offer several clear benefits.
