Right Angle Worm Gearboxes

Worm gearboxes offer high reduction ratios in a compact form with a right-angle output shaft relative to the motor axis. The higher ratios have the inability to be back wound and offer a high degree of self-locking, this however should not be considered for safety purposes. The relatively poor efficiency of this type of transmission needs to be considered when specifying the motor and assessing suitability for the application in question
