The brushed DC motors in this section include an integrated drive with communication using CANopen (CiA301 / CiA302), for this reason they are well suited to deployment in vehicle applications.
Right angle gearboxes allow for compact overall machine packaging and simplified installation. Typically quieter than other types of gearboxes, they are however less efficient and require more motor power for a given torque in comparison with in-line gearbox types.
It is also not always a given that right angle gearboxes will have full self locking without power. If the products description does not suggest so, please ask our motors team for more information if this is a requirement.
