IIoT - Industrial Internet of Things

Several years have been spent with our partners to develop a range within IIoT (Industrial Internet Of Things). We want to make it easier for our customers to take a step into the digital world.

WHAT IS IIoT?

IIoT (Industrial Internet Of Things) collects and analyses data from a production line/process to optimise working methods. IIoT consists of internet-connected machinery and analytical platforms that process the data that is produced. Smart products and machines are used to self-identify bottlenecks and problems, potentially improving all parts of the production line and supply chain.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IoT AND IIoT

IoT (Internet of Things), powered by smart devices – collects the data to streamline time, save costs and improve quality of life. Using IIot (Industrial Internet Of Things) and IoT together means the data is collected and used to optimise and create smarter working methods. It is believed that smart machines are better at analysing data than humans, meaning IIoT can improve overall efficiency.

THE RIGHT RANGE FOR YOUR IIOT SOLUTION

At OEM Automatic, we have a strong relationship with our partner and have discussed many different elements during product development to create the complete solution. Our range is based on the core products we have had for over 30 years, achievable by collecting information and rules and regulations - enabling the bridge to what we call cloud services.

OEM AUTOMATICS’ IIoT

OEM Automatic work with open systems that are not dependent on a specific make or communication method. The system facilitates the implementation of the products in combination with existing systems so that you, as customers, will get the best solution possible. We believe that it is important to enable IIoT and collect as much data as possible based on what you already have, supplementing with new sensors and I / O's. The information extracted can then be sent to a central point or to cloud-based services.

THREE TIPS FOR STARTING WITH IIOT:

1. START SMALL

Smaller investments can make a big difference, then build gradually. We all have to start somewhere, but for you to get the most out of IIoT, it may be a good idea to start small-scale to grow into the idea of analysing data.

2. AVOID LOCKED PRODUCTS

Use products that can talk to anything. You can then expand in the future, as nothing is locked to a system e.g. software that different products have. We can help you produce the products that suit you best.

3. HAVE SUB-GOALS

You can collect as much data as you like, but why collect data if you do not have the time to analyse it? It would be best to have intermediate goals in your project; otherwise, it is easy to drown in all the information that IIoT makes possible. Ask yourself what it is that you want to find out and we can help you with the rest!
