IDEM’s Skorpion M-KE is a trapped key exchange system in die cast metal, SS-KE is a trapped key exchange system in stainless-steel.
Where there are multiple access points to a guarded area, it may be necessary to use a key exchange, which can be provided with 1 key trapped and up to 7 keys released.
Keys from the guarded area are held in the key exchange system until the key from the isolator or control switch is placed in the key exchange. Only when this key is turned and trapped can the access keys be released and used.
