OEM Automatic has acquired Motion29

We are pleased to announce that OEM Automatic Ltd has acquired Motion29 Ltd. This acquisition brings together the expertise, products, and services of both organisations under both the OEM and Motion29 brands, strengthening our overall offering. Customers will benefit from a wider range of solutions, delivered with the same high level of service and support.

Motion29 was established in 2006 by Steve Fisher and Andrew Wilkinson to serve the industrial and mobile automation markets with safety, indication, connectivity and remote controls systems. As part of this focus, they specialise in developing and supplying engineered solutions to meet their customer’s specific requirements, with full after sales technical service and support.

We are pleased to confirm that the owners of Motion29, Steve Fisher and Andrew Wilkinson, will continue to be actively involved in the business and will be working closely with OEM Automatic throughout this transition period. 

Steve and Andrew will remain familiar points of contact, ensuring the same knowledge, expertise, and customer-focused approach that Motion29 customers have come to rely on. 

Their ongoing involvement will help ensure a smooth transition while maintaining the strong relationships and high levels of service you expect.

The Motion29 range will integrate into our Sensors & Safety team. Expanded the range for both OEM & Motion29 customers.

The Sensors and Safety business area partner with trusted, often exclusively represented brands from across Europe, selling high quality products and solutions for industrial automation into the UK.

Conor Robinson – Internal Sales Engineer 

Conor is your first point of contact for the Sensors and Safety team. Whether you need a quotation, stock availability, or general support, he’ll be happy to help. 

Gareth Ford – Product Group Manager for Sensors 

With 25 years at OEM Automatic, Gareth brings extensive experience in sensing and safety technologies. He leads our sensor offering, working closely on customer projects while driving the development of the business area. 

Daniel Gent – Business Area Manager 

Since joining OEM Automatic in 2014, Dan has progressed from Sales Engineer to Sales Manager and now Business Area Manager for Sensors and Safety. His broad experience gives him a strong understanding of both customer needs and strategic growth. 

Tony Maton – Sales Engineer (North UK) 

Our newest team member, Tony is our External Sales Engineer covering the North of the UK with a strong focus on safety solutions. He holds both CMSE® (Certified Machinery Safety Expert) and CECE® (Certified Expert in CE Marking) qualifications. 

Martin Illston – Senior Product Manager for Safety 

Martin is the longest-serving member of the Sensors and Safety team, having joined OEM Automatic in 1998. A dedicated safety specialist, he also holds the CMSE® (Certified Machinery Safety Expert) qualification and provides invaluable expertise to both customers and colleagues.
