IDEM’s Skorpion M-ISB2 is a trapped key control isolation switch box with die cast metal barrel housing, SS-ISB2 is a trapped key control isolation switch box with stainless-steel barrel housing, both variants are available in 63A rating.
Control Isolation Switches are the first part of the trapped key system and is usually on the control panel.
The isolation switch box is where the isolator key for a trapped key system is placed and trapped so power can be provided to the guarded area. When the key is turned power to the guarded area is cut and the key can be removed from the switch.
