INXPECT

Cables for Safety Radars

Inxpect provides sensor-to-sensor and control unit-to-sensor cables designed for reliable integration within its safety radar systems. The control unit cable features an M12, 5-pole connector for the sensor end and open wires for connection to the terminal block. Sensor-to-sensor cables have M12 connectors on both ends, and a termination resistor must be placed on the last sensor.

Product description

Inxpect offers a range of sensor-to-sensor and control unit-to-sensor cables designed to ensure reliable and secure connections within its safety radar systems. The cable that connects the control unit to the first sensor features an M12, 5-pole connector on one end (for the sensor) and open wire ends on the other, which are connected directly to the terminal block of the control unit. For connecting multiple sensors in series, dedicated sensor-to-sensor cables are used, equipped with M12, 5-pole connectors on both ends. It is important to place a termination resistor in the last sensor of the chain to ensure proper signal integrity.

There are two cable types available: a thinner, more basic version that is not twisted-pair, and a more robust, twisted-pair version designed for better resistance to electrical interference. When installing cables alongside other wiring harnesses that may emit electromagnetic noise, it is recommended to use the twisted-pair version to maintain optimal signal performance. To help ensure the correct cable type and length is selected for your setup, a detailed validation document is available for download on Inxpect's website under the accessories section.
