IDEM Series Z Emergency Stop Button

ESL(L)-SS-Z, ESL(LP)-SS-Z, ES-P-Z

IDEM’s Emergency Stop Stations with OSSD outputs (ZRange) include three primary models: the ESPZ (plastic housing), and the ESLSSZ (L) and ESLSSZ (LP) in rugged 316 stainless steel. Each unit features dual OSSD (output) safety channels alongside a PNP auxiliary output, integrated via an 8pole M12 quickconnect 250 mm flying lead. The robust OSSD design enables pulsed signaling, ensuring instant fault detection, while the builtin bicolour LED on the lid enhances visibility and quick diagnostics. For the stainless-steel versions, they’re rated IP69K, ideal for highpressure washdowns, while the plastic ESPZ achieves IP67 protection. The sturdy lidtrip mechanism prevents tampering by opening the safety contacts if the lid is removed.

These stations are tailored for emergency shutdowns on heavy machinery, conveyors, industrial lines, and washdown environments. Their dualchannel OSSD output allows them to integrate into SIL 3/PLe safety systems, supporting up to 30 devices in series with continuous selftesting and immediate fault reaction, minimising downtime and boosting safety. The stainless-steel variants withstand harsh conditions, while simple LED diagnostics and M12 quickconnect wiring streamline installation and maintenance. Thanks to their salineresistant build and tamper safeguards, theyre ideal where reliability, hygiene, and compliance to ISO 13850 and IEC 6094755 are paramount.
