IDEM’s Emergency Stop Stations with OSSD outputs (Z‑Range) include three primary models: the ES‑P‑Z (plastic housing), and the ESL‑SS‑Z (L) and ESL‑SS‑Z (LP) in rugged 316 stainless steel. Each unit features dual OSSD (output) safety channels alongside a PNP auxiliary output, integrated via an 8‑pole M12 quick‑connect 250 mm flying lead. The robust OSSD design enables pulsed signaling, ensuring instant fault detection, while the built‑in bi‑colour LED on the lid enhances visibility and quick diagnostics. For the stainless-steel versions, they’re rated IP69K, ideal for high‑pressure washdowns, while the plastic ES‑P‑Z achieves IP67 protection. The sturdy lid‑trip mechanism prevents tampering by opening the safety contacts if the lid is removed.

These stations are tailored for emergency shutdowns on heavy machinery, conveyors, industrial lines, and washdown environments. Their dual‑channel OSSD output allows them to integrate into SIL 3/PLe safety systems, supporting up to 30 devices in series with continuous self‑testing and immediate fault reaction, minimising downtime and boosting safety.
