The FBC9080 Fieldbus Converter is a compact-size industrial gateway
allowing the connection of devices equipped with a standard RS-232
communication interface into PROFINET IO and EtherNet/IP networks.
With the FBC9080 converter, Datalogic’s hand held scanners add industrial
fieldbus connectivity support to the most common PLC. The fieldbus
converter supports fast communication speeds, making it suitable for highend industrial devices.

Datalogic’s Aladdin™ configuration program provides user-friendly features
that simplify the start-up procedure, even for inexperienced users. A rotary
switch placed under the cover of the Fieldbus Converter FBC9080 allows
the user to access the FBC9080-Nx00 to configure it, modify its behavior,
or access the connected scanner configuration. The scanner and FBC9080-
Nx00 can also be configured using the Aladdin software through an Ethernet
connection.
