STL 950 with long soldering lug

The STL 950/.../5.08‑V‑G‑L series features a male pin header with a long soldering lug designed for vertical PCB mounting. Available in pole counts from 2 to 10, each variant uses a 5.08 mm pitch, with contact pins of 1 mm diameter, 3.9 mm pin length, and a 1.4 mm drill‑hole diameter. The housing is moulded from flame‑retardant polyamide 6.6 (UL 94 V‑0) rated for temperatures between –30 °C and +105 °C. The connector is rated at 12 A up to 250 V, with a 4 kV impulse voltage rating, contamination degree 3, over‑voltage category III, and a CTI of 600. It supports at least 100 plug‑in cycles and is recommended for wave‑soldering at 265 °C for 3–4 seconds. Approvals include UL 1059, cUL CSA 22.2 No. 158, and EN 61984 (VDE) certification standards.

In practical applications, the long soldering lug variant is tailored for installations demanding robust mechanical reinforcement or improved thermal endurance, such as heavy‑duty power control modules or devices subject to elevated solder heat loads. It seamlessly integrates with CONTA‑CONNECT’s FRK or ZRK tension‑spring terminal systems, allowing retrofitting of non‑pluggable rows into modular, pluggable terminal configurations. Engineers often use these headers in industrial automation panels, relay modules, power supplies, and process‑control hardware, where reliable PCB connectivity and quick maintenance or replacement cycles are essential.
