Ventilated Cable Glands

DAK 284

The innovative and ventilated cable connector DAK 284 allows for safe insertion of cables and wires into a housing with IP66 / IP67 enclosure, while providing pressure relief in the enclosure / cabinet.

Thanks to a waterproof filter in the front screw, dirt and water are prevented from entering the enclosure at the same time

which can cause pressure equalization in the enclosure / cabinet.

Condensation is formed by pressure changes and temperature changes inside and outside the cabinet. This happens, for example, by the temperature difference of day and night. Problems with dust may also occur if negative pressure is created in connection with pressure changes. The negative pressure causes dust to creep into the cabinet through door jumps etc.

Installation instructions

Make a hole in the enclosure and install the ventilation cable lining with the lock nut. Make sure that the gasket is placed on the outside of the enclosure and that the holes are free from degrees.

(Air capacity according to technical data applies at pressure differential of 70 mbar)
