Stego have developed the hose-proof hood to increase the IP rating of the fan range to IP56. The hood protects against water projected by a hoses and extreme climatic changes when used outdoors or in industrial applications with harsh environmental conditions.
The metal hood is compatible with the FPI 018, FPO 018 and FF 018 series of filter fans, intake and exit filters. The hood can easily be removed from the outside to clean the filter fans or to change the filter matt, so the cabinet does not need to be opened (safety risk).
A combined metal grid on the bottom of the hood give extra protection from external objects and the addition of a security screw also prevents unauthorised removal of the cover.
