CONTA-CLIP

Uninsulated bootlace ferrules

Uninsulated bootlace ferrules are precision-engineered electrical end terminals designed to enhance the termination of stranded copper conductors. Manufactured by CONTA-CLIP to DIN 46228 standards, these ferrules feature a tin-plated copper alloy tube (E‑Cu/A‑Cu) with varying lengths (typically 5–32 mm) and wall thicknesses (approximately 0.15–0.5 mm), depending on the wire gauge. Available in a broad range of cross‑section sizes the ferrules ensure reliable crimping and mechanical stress protection, significantly reducing the risk of stray strands during assembly. Each variant is rated up to 120 °C operating temperature, RoHS and REACH-compliant, and packaged in quantities from 250 to 1,000 units per bag.

These ferrules are essential for creating secure, high-integrity terminations in electrical control panels, distribution boards, machinery, and junction boxes. By providing a clean, uniform conductor end, they facilitate reliable insertion into terminal blocks and screw connections, eliminating strand fraying and improving contact quality. This enhances both current capacity and long-term performance, particularly in environments with vibration or thermal cycling. Available without plastic collars (“bootless”), they offer flexibility for compact installations and are ideal for durable, efficient wire terminations in industrial and commercial systems.
