Slotless BLDC brushless motors offer ultra-high speeds of up to 50,000rpm, with smooth running across the entire speed range

MOONS' EC Series Slotless BLDC motors offer very high performance in a super-compact size, the sizes ranging from 13-30mm diameter. The low rotational inertia of these motors gives them highly dynamic performance, rapid acceleration with speeds of up to 43,000rpm (ECH Series), and smooth low speed characteristics with no cogging.

MOONS' Slotless and Coreless DC Motors

Product description

With an ironless rotor winding, the MOONS’ EC brushless DC motors achieve high torque and power density in a very small package to a level which is not achievable with a conventional BLDC motor.

The slotless design architecture results in no cogging and a wide dynamic performance with an operational lifetime of up to 20,000 hours. An encoder option is available, if required to provide accurate positioning.

The size range spans from 13mm to 30mm, with the 13mm diameter motors being available in long and short versions with 2 different power outputs.

To give a sense of the performance available, the 13x38mm motor offers speeds of up to 20,000rpm and holding torque to 5.6mNm.

The miniature size and ultra-performance characteristics of these brushless motors lend themselves well to applications in the medical and scientific sectors, especially where positional control is needed
