Long pass-short pass filter
Long pass filters release the longer visible wavelengths and IR while shorter wavelengths are blocked. Short-pass filters have the opposite function, and consequently release the shorter wavelengths. Both variants are useful for enhancing contrast, resolution and color separation in both monochrome and color applications. These filters are recommended only when it is necessary to release several different wavelengths. In all other cases, a conventional bandpass filter is a better solution.
